Requests the Department of Education to convene a task force to study and make recommendations on increasing federal funding for Hawaii's public charter schools and correcting inequities in federal funding distribution among charter schools.

Task force to examine previous legislative reports, national comparisons of federal funding methods, and service distribution formulas to ensure equitable resources for charter school and non-charter public school students.

Task force composition includes 13 members from the Legislature, Department of Education, Board of Education, Charter School Commission, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and charter school operators including Kamehameha Schools, Kanu o ka 'Aina Learning Ohana, and Ho'okako'o Corporation.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2014 Regular Session convenes.

Task force dissolves the day after filing its report to the Legislature.
