Designates October 2 of each year as the "International Day of Non-Violence" in Hawaii to honor Mahatma Gandhi on his birth date

Acknowledges Gandhi's philosophy of resolving conflict through non-violence rather than violent action

Directs the International Day of Non-Violence to be used for raising awareness and reducing psychological and physical violence in all forms at all levels

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the Governor, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition-Hawaii, Domestic Violence Action Center, and several other peace and non-violence organizations
