Requests the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to provide a written report to the Legislature on the Ka Makana Alii shopping mall project being developed with DeBartolo Development, LLC.

Report must include the project status, anticipated new partners, projected revenue stream, projected timeline, and terms of development agreements with compliance status.

Report must also address Act 187 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2010), including its status, effect, applicability to Ka Makana Alii, and whether it should be extended or made permanent.

Act 187 authorized the Department to extend commercial or multipurpose project leases up to twenty years until June 30, 2015, with all lease revenues deposited into the Hawaiian home administration account.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than six months after adjournment of the 2013 Regular Session.
