Acknowledges that compliance with federal food safety standards is critical for Hawaii's agribusiness industry and helps protect vulnerable populations from foodborne illnesses

Highlights the East Hawaii Community Development Corporation as an example of an organization providing research, development, and food-safety certified processing and distribution services to address food safety and security issues

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture, Director of Health, Director of Business Economic Development and Tourism, and Director of Human Services
