Recognizes one day in September 2013 as Hydrocephalus Awareness Day in Hawaii to increase public awareness of the condition and support for affected families

Notes that hydrocephalus occurs when excess fluid builds up in the brain due to obstruction of proper fluid drainage, affecting approximately 1 in 500 babies born with the incurable condition

Acknowledges that the United States Congress designated September as National Hydrocephalus Awareness Month in 2009

Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Director of Health, and the Hawaii Chapter of the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation
