Recognizes the week of October 6 through 13, 2013, as "Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Week"

Encourages Hawaii residents to recognize the importance of seafood and fishing traditions during this designated week

Acknowledges that fishing is a cultural tradition passed down through generations in Hawaii and that the state's residents consume more than three times the national per capita average of seafood annually

Designates the Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Festival hosted by the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group at Pier 38, Honolulu Harbor, on October 13, 2013, as the culminating event of the week

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor and the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group
