Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 291C-27(b) to expand the definition of "emergency vehicle" under the statewide traffic code's "move over" law.

Adds "public safety law enforcement vehicles" to the existing list of emergency vehicles that includes police, fire department, ocean safety, emergency medical services, freeway service patrol, and tow truck vehicles.

Requires motorists to move over when passing a stationary emergency vehicle on a highway, now including sheriff's vehicles under the public safety law enforcement category.

Becomes effective upon approval.
