HI HB1429

Directs the Department of Health to maintain an inventory of skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, assisted living facilities, developmental disabilities domiciliary homes, special treatment facilities, therapeutic living programs, adult residential care homes, and adult independent group residences, along with current vacancy lists.

Requires all community-based care facilities listed under Department of Health jurisdiction to report vacancy information to the department on a regular basis.

Directs the Department of Health to maintain an inventory of community care foster family homes and current vacancy lists, with regular reporting requirements from all such homes.

Directs the Department of Human Services to maintain an inventory of community care foster family homes certified under its jurisdiction and current vacancy lists, with regular reporting requirements from all such homes (effective until July 1, 2014).

Addresses the lack of centralized vacancy information that currently requires health care professionals and social workers to make numerous telephone calls to locate suitable community placements for individuals with disabilities.
