HI HB1802

Prohibits the unlicensed use of digital manufacturing technology (including 3D printers, CNC mills, and laser cutting machines) to manufacture firearms or firearm parts.

Requires persons using digital manufacturing technology to create firearms to possess a federal license to manufacture firearms under 18 U.S. Code section 923(a).

Prohibits the possession, sale, trade, gift, transfer, or acquisition of any firearm manufactured using digital manufacturing technology.

Establishes violations of these prohibitions as class C felonies under Hawaii law.

Becomes effective upon approval.
