Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 444-7(d) to clarify that a specialty contractor's principal contracting business must involve specialized building trades or crafts as their primary operations.

Removes redundant language from the definition that previously repeated the requirement about specialized building trades or crafts.

Amends Section 444-8(c) to explicitly reference the definition of specialty contractor in Section 444-7(d) when describing the limited exception allowing specialty contractors to perform work in multiple unrelated crafts or trades.

The exception permits specialty contractors to take contracts involving two or more crafts or trades only when work in other trades is incidental and supplemental to work in their licensed craft.

Takes effect upon approval.
