Creates three new Class C felonies related to child safety: failure to report a missing child, failure to report a child's death, and providing false information to law enforcement about a missing child.

Establishes that a caregiver commits failure to report a missing child if they knowingly or negligently fail to verify a child's safety and whereabouts for more than 48 hours and do not report the child missing to law enforcement within that timeframe.

Requires caregivers to report a child's death to law enforcement within two hours of discovering the death.

Criminalizes when caregivers knowingly provide false information to law enforcement with intent to mislead officers or impede missing person or felony criminal investigations involving a child in their care.

Defines "caregiver" as a parent, legal guardian, or other person legally charged with a child's care or custody, and applies the age threshold of 16 for missing child reporting and 18 for the other two offenses.
