Office of Planning shall review the Hawaii State Plan and make recommendations for amendments to address current state needs.

Office of Planning shall provide recommendations on conflicts between the state planning act, county plans, functional plans, and state programs.

Office of Planning shall review major plans, programs, projects, and regulatory activities proposed by state and county agencies and provide advisory opinions.

Office of Planning shall submit a written report to the legislature no later than 30 days before the 2016 regular session with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation regarding updates to the state planning act.

General revenues are appropriated to the Office of Planning for fiscal year 2014-2015 to fund the review and proposed updates to the state planning act, effective July 1, 2050.
