HI HB30

Prohibits any person, including licensed manufacturers, importers, and dealers, from selling or distributing ammunition unless the purchaser provides proof of a registered firearm that can use the ammunition.

Allows a limited exception permitting licensed dealers to sell ammunition for a firearm at the time the firearm is sold.

Applies to all ammunition sales and distributions covered under Chapter 134, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Part I.

Takes effect upon approval of the act.
