• Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 for a state rent supplement program serving homeless individuals or families who work part-time or full-time and are ready to rent permanent housing

• Maximum rent supplement is $300 per month, available after households pay a minimum of 40 percent of their adjusted income toward rent

• Rent supplements available through participation in workforce development programs or other support programs that increase worker self-sufficiency

• Authorizes hiring of one program specialist by the Department of Human Services to monitor the program and enter into statewide contracts for program implementation

• Effective date of July 1, 2030
