Prohibits courts from considering federal veterans disability benefits awarded for service-connected disabilities under 38 U.S.C. Chapter 11 when determining spousal support and maintenance awards or amounts.

Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 580 by adding a new section establishing that veterans disability benefits cannot be factored into spousal support decisions.

Modifies Section 580-47(a) to reference the new limitation on considering veterans benefits when courts order spousal support and maintenance.

Applies only to actions filed on or after the effective date; does not affect cases filed before the law takes effect.

Effective July 1, 2014.
