Requests the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources to convene a task force to investigate, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding managed coastal retreat and coastal land acquisition in Hawaii

Task force to comprise 10 members including representatives from the Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, four county mayors' offices, the State Coastal Zone Management Program, University of Hawaii geology professor, environmental attorney, and non-governmental land trust representative

Task force directed to consider feasibility of acquiring coastal lands to protect beaches, identify appropriate agency to administer a coastal lands acquisition program, and determine funding mechanisms

Task force members serve without compensation and must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2016 Regular Session
