Request Department of Health to provide food safety workshops or classes on all islands for persons with temporary food establishment permits.

Request Department of Health to distribute copies of Title 11, Chapter 50 Hawaii Administrative Rules (Food Safety Code) to consumers and cottage food industry stakeholders.

Request Department of Health to convene a cottage food business working group with Department and industry representatives to examine food safety rules and permitting restrictions.

Direct working group to consider permit modifications including eliminating 120-day reapplication requirements, authorizing home kitchens as approved sources, and establishing parameters for food sales volumes.

Require Department of Health to submit working group findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session.
