Request the Real Estate Commission to review amending Hawaii Revised Statutes section 514B-123(d)(3) by repealing subparagraphs (C) and (D) regarding proxy voting rules for condominium associations.

Current law requires proxy forms to include options for voting "to the board as a whole" with votes made by majority director preference, or "to directors present" with votes shared equally among all directors.

Repeal of these provisions aims to level the playing field for association members to elect board members of their choice and make board members more responsive to association member preferences.

Real Estate Commission must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Chairperson and members of the Real Estate Commission.
