Request the State Auditor to assess the social and financial effects of mandating health insurance coverage for additional screening services for women with dense breast tissue, as required by Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 23-51 and 23-52.

Require the Auditor's report to include data on cancer detection rates from additional screening when initial mammography found no evidence of cancer.

Direct the Auditor to determine whether the notification requirement established in Act 5, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013 is unnecessary and should be repealed.

Require the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any necessary implementing legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.

Direct the Insurance Commissioner to transmit copies of this resolution to all insurers in Hawaii that issue health insurance policies.
