Requests the Auditor to conduct a management audit of the Child Welfare Services Branch of the Social Services Division of the Department of Human Services.

Last audits were conducted in 1999 and 2003, which identified critical deficiencies including inadequate supervisory oversight, poor communication between departments, and failure to properly use risk assessment tools.

Audit should specifically focus on cases of missing children, including incidences and implementation of measures to prevent or resolve such incidents.

Auditor must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies to be transmitted to the Auditor and Director of Human Services.
