Requests the Department of Health to establish a task force to study potential benefits of teledentistry for vulnerable and underserved populations in Hawaii, including access to dental care and cost effectiveness.

Identifies barriers to practicing teledentistry in the state as a key focus area for the task force.

Designates the Director of Health (or designee) as chair and requires representation from 14 specified entities including state departments, dental boards, universities, insurance providers, and legislative committees.

Requires task force members to have appropriate dental background and knowledge of existing dental care issues, and mandates service without compensation.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the start of the 2015 Regular Session.
