• Requests Hawaii Department of Transportation to establish a committee to coordinate road maintenance scheduling among state and city agencies to minimize public inconvenience.

• Committee shall be chaired by a Department of Transportation employee and include 1-2 representatives each from the Legislature, HDOT Highways Planning Section, City and County of Honolulu Department of Design and Construction, and City and County of Honolulu Department of Facility Maintenance.

• Recommends appointing civil service employees to the committee to ensure long-term continuity and institutional knowledge.

• Requests committee meet 2-3 times per year minimum to discuss upcoming road projects, coordinate scheduling, and ensure public awareness of road work plans.

• Requires committee to submit a report to the Legislature detailing activities and legislative recommendations no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.
