Request that Hawaii's electric utilities establish a planning goal to meet 100% of energy needs from renewable sources indigenous to Hawaii

Require each utility to submit a written report to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session

Report must include the utility's plan for energy supply when imported fuels are no longer viable, anticipated business structure for that period, and whether it can achieve 100% renewable energy for each island it serves

Applies to Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., Maui Electric Company, Hawaii Electric Light Company, Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, and the Public Utilities Commission
