Requests the Department of Land and Natural Resources to conduct a study on sandalwood across all major Hawaiian islands.

Study must include assessment of areas suitable for sandalwood reforestation, available sandalwood seeds in Hawaii, and amount of sandalwood currently cultivated in the wild.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to all legislators by September 30, 2014.

Notes that Hawaii currently lacks estimates of surviving sandalwood trees, annual harvest data, and commercial harvesting regulations despite historical abundance and cultural significance of the species.
