Request that the Chief Election Officer establish additional election polling places in State House District 4 (Puna district, County of Hawaii) in time for the 2014 primary election

State House District 4 has one of the fastest-growing residential populations and requires voters on the outskirts to travel long distances to existing polling places

In 2012, only three polling places served District 4 despite having comparable numbers of registered voters to other County of Hawaii voting districts that had more polling places

Chief Election Officer has authority to establish new precincts and polling places under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 11-92.1
