Requests the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources to convene a task force to examine current water issues affecting the State, counties, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, and private water systems.

Task force membership includes the Board of Land and Natural Resources Chairperson (as chairperson), Director of Health, Director of Water Resources Research Center, county water supply leaders, Hawaiian Homes Commission Chairperson, Office of Hawaiian Affairs CEO, and other entities as deemed necessary.

Task force directed to examine potable water, irrigation systems, water conservation, wastewater treatment, water reclamation and reuse, water quality, infrastructure requirements, and traditional and customary Hawaiian rights.

Task force required to identify practical policy solutions for each island and report findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to all task force member organizations.
