Department of Education must report to the Legislature on school librarian positions at each public school, including library existence, staffing levels, library material budgets, and student populations for 2013-2014.

Report must be submitted to each legislator no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session convening, including findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation.

Board of Education requested to adopt a Weighted Student Formula that reserves funding for at least one full-time Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) credentialed school librarian at each public school.

Board of Education requested to establish a base funding amount for library materials at each school, followed by additional per-pupil allocations.

Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Education and the Superintendent of the Department of Education.
