Honors King Kamehameha the Great and his descendants by sharing his story with a global audience and promoting ceremonies celebrating his vision and Hawaiian culture.

Recognizes King Kamehameha's unification of the eight major Hawaiian islands under a single government by 1810 and his development of Ke Kanawai Mamalahoe ("the Law of the Splintered Paddle"), an early human rights policy preserved in Hawaii's constitution.

Acknowledges the Hawaiian historical narrative encompassing both profound triumphs and deep injustices, including disease, broken treaties, and loss of sovereignty, while celebrating Hawaiian resilience and the Aloha Spirit.

Urges all people of Hawaii to honor King Kamehameha the Great and promote activities celebrating Hawaiian heritage and culture.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools, Hawaiian Homes Commission, and relevant House and Senate committee chairs.
