Department of Accounting and General Services requested to work with Hawaii Emergency Medical Services Association and other relevant organizations to plan and construct a Hawaii Emergency Responders Memorial.

Memorial should honor emergency responders who died in the line of duty in Hawaii while serving at city, county, state, or federal government levels, or as government-contracted emergency responders, including those employed by private companies.

Memorial must call attention to the bravery and everyday public service of emergency responders and be perpetual in nature.

Private funds to be solicited and used for the memorial's construction rather than state funds.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Hawaii Emergency Medical Services Association and the Comptroller.
