Urges the Department of Education to strengthen and reinforce civic readiness, education, and engagement for students from kindergarten through grade 12 in all public schools.

Calls for the Department of Education to enhance social studies courses and integrate civic education content, processes, and strategies within each public school.

Emphasizes that public education should prepare students to be informed, active citizens participating in democratic processes and civic life, not solely focus on academic performance in English language arts, mathematics, and science.

Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, state teachers associations, and national civic education organizations.
