Cites Hawaii's acute shortage of long-term care beds as having potential to impact the growing number of veterans requiring long-term care services.

Affirms that veterans deserve safety, comfort, and dignified care in their later years as a special duty owed by the state and nation.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the President of the United States, President Pro Tempore of the United States Senate, and Speaker of the House of Representatives.
