• Urges the State of Hawaii and state entities to support the Hokulea, a traditionally navigated double-hulled canoe, and her crew during a worldwide voyage around the world.

• The Hokulea will travel approximately 47,000 miles over four years, visiting 26 countries and 85 ports, building on 38 years of Pacific Ocean voyaging experience spanning over 140,000 miles.

• The voyage aims to raise awareness about ocean protection, Hawaii's marine environment issues, and Hawaiian knowledge and practices of natural resource management.

• Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, Hawaii Tourism Authority, and the Polynesian Voyaging Society.

• Recognizes the Hokulea's historical role in proving intentional Polynesian voyaging, reconnecting Pacific communities, and serving as an educational catalyst for cultural and environmental stewardship.
