Requests the Department of Education to conduct a study on enhancing security surveillance at public schools and preventing potential violent attacks.

Cites the open design and architecture of many Hawaii school buildings as potential vulnerabilities that could provide easy access for attackers.

Requires the Department of Education to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor, Superintendent of Education, and Board of Education Chairperson.
