Department of Accounting and General Services is requested to work with the Hawaii Emergency Medical Services Association and other interested organizations to plan and construct a Hawaii Emergency Responder and Good Samaritan Memorial at the Hawaii State Capitol.

Memorial will honor 16 emergency responders not covered by the Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation and good Samaritans who have lost their lives in the line of duty in Hawaii.

Private funds are to be solicited and used for the memorial's construction, with the Department of Accounting and General Services responsible for coordination, maintenance, and considering placement on the Diamond Head side of the Kalanimoku Building.

Department of Accounting and General Services must submit a report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2015, including findings, recommendations, projected costs, and any implementing legislation.
