Honors King Kamehameha the Great for uniting the eight major Hawaiian islands under a single government by 1810 and establishing humanitarian policies including "Ke Kanawai Mamalahoe" (Law of the Splintered Paddle), which is preserved in Hawaii's constitution.

Urges the House of Representatives and all people of Hawaii to share King Kamehameha's story with a global audience and promote ceremonies and activities celebrating his vision, the Aloha Spirit, and Hawaii's culture and heritage.

Acknowledges Hawaii's complex history including both triumphs of Hawaiian resilience and the injustices of disease, broken treaties, and the loss of Hawaiian sovereignty.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools, Hawaiian Homes Commission, and relevant House and Senate committee chairs.
