Identifies northeast swells as a major contributor to rapid erosion of Oahu's northern shoreline, affecting resident and visitor safety at Sunset Beach.

Recognizes that beaches contribute to Hawaii's $14.4 billion visitor economy and provide cultural, recreational, subsistence, and ecological benefits to the state.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Board of Land and Natural Resources, the Mayor, the Parks and Recreation Director, and the District 2 Honolulu City Councilmember.
