Requests the Director of Health to convene a working group to recommend ways to reduce sepsis incidents and deaths in Hawaii.

Working group to examine barriers to quality sepsis care, review national best practices, and improve early recognition and treatment in Hawaii hospitals.

Working group to assess quality measures for sepsis recognition and treatment, and develop public education recommendations about sepsis symptoms, diagnosis, and prevention.

Working group to identify cost barriers related to sepsis treatment and make recommendations to address them.

Task force must submit written findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2015 Regular Session.
