Requests the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources to convene a task force to examine current water issues across the State, counties, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, and private water systems.

Task force membership includes the BLNR Chairperson (as chair), Director of Health, Director of Water Resources Research Center at University of Hawaii, county water supply leaders, Hawaiian Homes Commission Chairperson, and CEO of Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

Task force directed to consider potable water, irrigation systems, water conservation, wastewater treatment, water reclamation and reuse, water quality, infrastructure requirements, traditional and customary Hawaiian rights, and other relevant issues.

Task force must examine current water issues and identify practical policy solutions for each island.

Task force required to report findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2015 Regular Session convenes.
