Recognizes the University of Hawai'i Community College System for 50 years of educational excellence and leadership in providing educational and employment opportunities.

Acknowledges the system's growth from its establishment by Executive Order (Act 39) signed by Governor John A. Burns on April 23, 1964, into seven separately accredited colleges: Hawai'i, Honolulu, Kapi'olani, Kaua'i, Leeward, UH Maui, and Windward Community Colleges.

Highlights the system's award-winning achievements in STEM, culinary arts, design, and high-demand programs including business, education, digital media, computer networking, television production, engineering, and visual and performing arts.

Commends the system's commitment to providing access to disadvantaged and under-represented students, particularly Native Hawaiian students, and its focus on academic initiatives including curriculum software implementation and First Year Experience improvements.

Celebrates the system's continued innovation in sustainability, energy, agriculture, and technical and professional programs that strengthen Hawaii's economy, with three university centers and six education centers serving the islands.
