Commends the V.E.T. House in Kalihi on its opening, a transitional housing facility for homeless veterans transitioning to permanent housing and self-sustainability.

V.E.T. House features 8 beds for a 90-day transitional program and provides individualized case management to reconnect veterans with earned services and benefits.

Recognizes contributions of Connie Mitchell (Executive Director of Institute for Human Services), U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Jay King (V.E.T. House Coordinator), Home Depot, and Jonathan Perreira in establishing the facility.

Facility includes gardens maintained by residents and a communal dining room offering healing environment, peer support, and guidance for veterans' personal rehabilitation and life goals.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to The Institute for Human Services, the V.E.T. House, Congresswoman Gabbard, and Home Depot locations.
