Honors Guy Toyama, a world-renowned leader in deep seawater technologies and renewable energy who died in 2012 at age 42

Recognizes Toyama's contributions including work on Hawaii's first deep seawater desalination plant, hydrogen fuel technology through H2 Technologies, and efforts to develop Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion power plants

Notes Toyama's role as Executive Director of Friends of the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority and his work establishing a Sister City relationship with Kumejima Island in Okinawa, Japan

Directs that certified copies be transmitted to the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority Executive Director, the Director of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, and the Mayor of the County of Hawaii
