Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism requested to work with construction industry representatives to review prerequisites for obtaining permit approval for developments at State and County levels

Review should focus on cost containment, community benefits, expedition of construction and permitting, and uniformity of prerequisites across development projects

Department must report findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2015

Resolution addresses concerns that State and County financial requirements (community facilities district financing, impact fees, infrastructure construction) imposed over twenty years have increased infrastructure costs and sometimes left construction unfinished

Certified copies to be transmitted to the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism and all County Mayors
