Urges the State of Hawaii and state entities to support the Hokulea, a traditionally navigated vessel, and its crew during a worldwide voyage around the globe.

Hokulea will travel 47,000 miles over four years, visiting 26 countries and 85 ports to share 38 years of traditional Pacific voyaging experience across more than 140,000 miles.

Aims to raise awareness about ocean protection for Earth's survival and issues affecting Hawaii's shorelines, reefs, and deep waters while sharing Hawaiian knowledge of natural resource management.

Recognizes Hokulea's historical role in proving intentional Polynesian voyaging and settlement, and its ongoing mission to reconnect Pacific peoples and kindle pride among Native Hawaiians and Pacific islanders.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to the Governor, Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, Hawaii Tourism Authority, and Polynesian Voyaging Society.
