Exempts all gross proceeds from the sale of food from Hawaii's general excise tax under Chapter 237.

Defines "food" to include groceries purchased at stores (excluding alcohol, tobacco, nonfood items, vitamins, medicines, and hot foods ready for immediate consumption).

Exempts seeds and plants for home food production from the general excise tax.

Exempts meals served to seniors (age 60+), disabled individuals, residents of subsidized housing, battered women and children in shelters, and homeless persons at qualifying nonprofits and contracted establishments.

Effective July 1, 2050 (placing implementation 36 years in the future).
