Expands provider authority to sign POLST (Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) forms to include advanced practice registered nurses, in addition to licensed physicians.

Changes terminology throughout chapter 327K, Hawaii Revised Statutes, from "physician orders for life-sustaining treatment" to "provider orders for life-sustaining treatment" to reflect expanded signatory authority.

Replaces the term "surrogate" with "legal representative" throughout the statute to align with terminology used in chapter 327E (Uniform Health-Care Decisions Act).

Adds definition of "legal representative" to mean an agent, guardian, power of attorney for health care, or surrogate as defined in section 327E-2.

Effective July 1, 2050.
