Transfers roof warranty responsibility from roofing contractors to solar energy device installers for roofs with existing contractor guarantees or manufacturer warranties.

Requires solar contractors to notify property owners in writing that solar device installation may affect or void existing roofing warranties or guarantees.

Mandates solar contractors obtain written manufacturer approval and follow waterproofing instructions from the roof manufacturer, or obtain written consent from the property owner to forgo the existing warranty.

Allows roofing contractors to maintain existing warranties if they perform waterproofing of roof penetrations; if warranties expire, the solar contractor becomes responsible for labor and workmanship warranty coverage.

Effective upon approval.
