S.B. 2682 Summary

• Makes financial disclosure statements of members of 13 additional state boards, commissions, and agencies publicly available for inspection and duplication, including the board of agriculture, Hawaii community development authority, board of land and natural resources, public utilities commission, and water resource management commission.

• Adds members of the University of Hawaii board of regents to the list of public officials whose financial disclosures must be made public.

• Limits disclosure of spouse and dependent children income sources to the name of the business or other source only, without requiring the source's address or other detailed information.

• Applies to state boards and commissions that currently file financial disclosure statements with the state ethics commission but whose disclosures are kept confidential.

• Takes effect upon approval.
