Reduces insurance information required on inspection certificates to only the insurance expiration date, allowing digital image storage of cards to reduce data entry while maintaining insurance verification capability.

Permits replacement of faded inspection stickers without reinspection, in addition to existing provisions for replacing lost, stolen, or destroyed stickers.

Authorizes the director to adopt rules governing motor carrier vehicle inspection administration, enforcement, maximum costs to vehicle owners, and fees collected from inspection stations.

Removes the fixed $1.50 fee for motor carrier vehicle safety inspection decals and the $12 maximum fee per safety inspection, allowing fees to be set by administrative rule instead.
