Establishes an online firearms registration working group within the Department of the Attorney General to study the feasibility of implementing a statewide online firearms registration process.

Working group shall review the current firearms registration process, identify concerns or problems, and evaluate methods to address these issues including an online registration option.

Membership includes the Attorney General as chair, chiefs of police from Hawaii, Honolulu, Kauai, and Maui police departments (or designees), and a representative from the Hawaii Rifle Association.

Working group members serve without compensation and are exempt from Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 84 solely for their participation on the working group.

Working group must submit a written report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature at least 20 days before the 2015 regular session, and ceases to exist on June 30, 2015.
