Department of Health shall implement a radiation monitoring pilot project measuring and monitoring radiation levels in food, dairy products, rainwater, aquifers, and drainage ditches potentially affected by the March 11, 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Department shall post periodic reports on its website detailing radiation levels and their significance to the State.

Pilot project operates from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019.

Department must submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2019 regular session, including findings, recommendations, and whether the pilot project should continue, be modified, or terminate.

General revenues appropriated for fiscal year 2014-2015 to cover equipment acquisition, staff training, and website development for the radiation monitoring pilot project.
